5th April 1943, a memorable day in the history of the Eight Air Force, when the first US airman completed a 25-mission tour. Top Seargeant Michael Roscovich stayed on in England as a gunnery officer, training newly arrived crews, and was killed when the aircraft taking him back to the USA crashed in the Scottish hills.
